Thia Mouton
Counsellor
Ginkgo Healthcare is thrilled to introduce
Thia Mouton
who will be joining us in July 2025.

Hello, my name is Thia. I am a counsellor and I work with adults of all ages and genders, offering in-person sessions on Mondays and online sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also facilitate therapeutic groups, with more details coming soon.
I offer a warm, compassionate space where clients can just be themselves — to be heard and supported, free from judgement – a space to recalibrate. Together, we explore what matters to you through honest conversations, creative approaches, and practical tools, so you can find clarity and meaning, foster effective coping strategies and build the emotional resilience to move forward with courage and confidence.
My approach is holistic, person-centred, and trauma-informed, drawing from a range of evidence-based practices. I'm especially passionate about supporting women facing the complexities of a cancer diagnosis — a path I’ve walked myself. I understand the need to express what’s real, without needing to stay strong for others. I also work in the areas of grief, loss, and bereavement, helping clients navigate this very painful space where life can feel totally upended by the overwhelming feelings of pain and loss.
I hold a Master of Counselling from Monash University and am an accredited member of ACA and PACFA. I am also a member of Palliative Care Victoria and Grief Australia. Additionally, I have trained through Brown University, the leading training body in the USA for teachers of Mindfulness-Based Practices. Because I have experienced the physical and mental health benefits of these evidence-based programs personally, I am particularly fond of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) group programs.
Whether you are seeking short term support or longer-term therapy, please know you are not alone. No matter where you are on your path, you are worthy of care, hope, and healing.
Should you wish to obtain further information you are most welcome to make contact with Thia here.
